At Kopuwai Delta

If you can pull yourself away from the fire and views and get out of your dressing gown, Kopuwai Delta is well-placed for leisure activities for whatever your mood dictates.

A few steps from the studio you will find a tennis court, a few more and you can be swimming in the acquifer-fed pond and watch the dragonflies dance across the surface. Or for those more inclined, enjoy a walk around the vineyard, checking out the sculptures and walking down to the Clutha river for a picnic or even trout fishing.

With prior arrangement we can do a viticulture tour of our vineyard and/or wine tasting paired with an hors d’ourves platter. To take best advantage of the season and weather we will place this tasting in a delightful setting to suit.

If you want to take home wine from our vineyard or some of our superb organic olive oil, limited stock is available for purchase. If you are travelling, you can visit the website of Prophet's Rock for direct wine purchases sent to your home.

In the region

Many will come to Central Otago for its wine, most notably the world-renown Pinot Noir that this region is most famous for. Wine tasting, and perhaps a meal at a vineyard is something not to be missed when you are staying at Kopuwai Delta. We would be delighted to give you some recommendations on where to taste and eat.

If adventure or more active pursuits are your taste, the region boasts many walking trails, cycling, mountaineering, skiing, boating and a host of other adventures. You are a only a 15 to 30 minute drive to Cromwell, Clyde and Wanaka or an hour to Queenstown – offering great cafes and restaurants. Check out Central Otago's website for more inspiration.
